A spiritual home on Maryland's Eastern Shore — serving the religious and cultural needs of our community since 1995.
The Hindu Temple of Eastern Shore (HTES) was built in 1995 to serve the religious and cultural needs of a growing Hindu community in Salisbury and the surrounding Eastern Shore. For a small community, this was indeed a magnificent achievement — the fruit of years of devotion, fundraising, and tireless volunteering.
What began as a shared dream among a handful of families has grown into a thriving center of worship and culture. The temple's doors are open to all who seek the divine, regardless of background or tradition.
Today, HTES hosts seasonal festivals, classical arts, language classes, and a vibrant calendar of pujas — preserving heritage while building bridges across generations.
